Privacy Policy

Drafted in accordance with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 (PDPL). Lakan Ventures L.L.C. operates Lakan Design and is responsible for the personal data collected here.

Data We Collect

  • Enquiry form: the topic you pick, your name, your phone or WhatsApp number, your email address, and your message.
  • WhatsApp: the “Get your website” buttons and the chat pop-up open WhatsApp with a message written out. If you send it, we receive the message, your number and your WhatsApp profile name.
  • If you become a client: your business details, the content you send for your site, and the name and address that go on your invoices.

We do not collect payment card details. Projects are paid by bank transfer.

Who Processes It

  • The enquiry form does not submit to any server: pressing send opens WhatsApp with your message written out, and nothing leaves your device until you send it there.
  • WhatsApp (Meta) carries the messages you send us there, under its own policy.
  • Cloudflare serves this website and processes technical request data, such as your IP address, to deliver and protect it.

How We Use Your Data

  • Reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote.
  • Build, launch and look after your website.
  • Invoice you and keep the records the law requires.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not perform automated decision-making or profiling.

Legal Basis

Steps you ask for before a contract (a quote), contract performance, legitimate interests, legal obligation, and consent where we ask for it.

Cookies & Storage

This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking. If you arrive from the Lakan Ventures home page, your browser tab keeps one note of that, so the footer can show our other ventures; it holds no personal data and is gone when you close the tab.

Retention

Data is kept only as long as necessary. Project and invoice records are kept for a minimum of 5 years for legal and accounting purposes.

Your Rights Under UAE PDPL

  • Access, correction, deletion, and objection.
  • Withdrawal of consent.

Data Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures. In the event of a breach, we notify the relevant UAE authority within 72 hours and affected users without undue delay.

Children’s Privacy

This site is not directed at individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from minors.
